Hey everyone,
Newbie to DSMs here and I'm in need of some help. I bought my 2G about 8 months ago and found out afterwards the transmission was going out. I have a 2.4L 1997 spyder eclipse FWD automatic. But I'm having a hard time finding a transmission and was wanting to know what other DSM transmissions would be able to bolt onto the 2.4L without too many issues, preferably just a bolt up without having to really change anything else.

Solution
1995-1999 F4A33-1 aka auto FWD Turbo transmission (from 1995-1999 Turbo DSMs, I’d prioritize this one because it’ll be stronger and leave you room to turbo your 4G64 in the future.) make sure you get the torque converter too.

1995-1999 F4A32-1 aka auto fwd non-turbo trans. Comes in a variety of cars not just the 2G spyders. They came in galants, diamanté’s, and anything else of the same year that was fwd, 4G64, and automatic. Just make sure it’s the transmission from a model that has the timing belt on the drivers side.
