stock wheels, 16 inch, and yes. i know it won't fit after i put brembo brakes on. so gotta order a new set of 18X10 cv3s with neova tires. LOL.[DOUBLEPOST=1411479271][/DOUBLEPOST]

Sorry if ive said some mis information. I had it in my head that everyone tapped the caliper and thats why lots didnt want to do that.[DOUBLEPOST=1411485844][/DOUBLEPOST]
No one listen to me LOL

Just so I am clear on your intent with all of this, getting the knuckles so you don't have to grind any of the brembo calipers which you stated you did not want to do...cost to much, but a new set of wheels and tires is within the budget for this mod? If thats all good then why not also look into swapping your GST brake master out for a slightly larger GSX or 3G with a booster and while everything else is disconnected put some SS lines on.

I thought with the original KMV brackets there was some tapping as well, not on the caliper but on the bracket itself, to get the bracket to hold to the ear of the knuckle.

No, with the original brackets (before he switched to the new design) there was no tapping of the bracket (or caliper for people who posted that earlier in the thread). You simply just need to have the knuckle milled so the bracket could sit flush and bolted to 2 of the existing hub holes (see pics). I just acquired a set of the original brackets with knuckles/hubs that were already milled from a member on here since I hated the fact that you had to grind the calipers with the new bracket design. Here are some pics of the original KMV bracket installed and showing where needs to be milled. I also like that the calipers are mounted straight up instead of at an angle like the new brackets position them.

to be honest i don't really want to grind anything, id prefer everything to be bolt on, but i have no choice but to grind the knuckle and instead of grinding the brembo, id grind the adapter. it should work no? damn i didnt kno this would be difficult .

There are two ways to position the adapter up or down. If you have a 95 or 96 knuckle than you don't have to grind the knuckle for the adapter to fit in the down position. For 97 and newer the front knuckle was cast differently and means you have to shave part of the knuckle off to get the adapter on. I choose the down position because to do the top you had to shave too much off the knuckle and it didn't look safe to me. I have seen plenty of people do it but I didn't want to. Also the only piece that needs to be tapped is one ear of the knuckle so the bolt can go through the brembo to the knuckle and hold it on and the other ear uses a bolt and nut. You will have to grind the knuckle and caliper, I used a Dremel (took longer) but worked fine.

the ONLY way to not grind anything is to pay $500 for the jdm galant vr4 knuckle and it will fit no problem. someone on here sells them for $515 i think? they're kinda hard to find so have fun, grinding it isn't a big deal when no one will ever see it

why can't you just grind the adapters instead of the brembos ?so that the brembo have space to fit,[DOUBLEPOST=1411865228][/DOUBLEPOST]

LOL, i understand, but i have to look for options, 515 bucks is ridiculous dude, and yes, i know no one will ever see it but it will bother me when i drive and think about it, its anoyying.[DOUBLEPOST=1411865305][/DOUBLEPOST]
If anyone needs a set of the caliper brackets I have mine for sale (since I got my hands on the older design which I prefer). They will come with spacer and bolts too. Looking for $50 plus s&h
if you still have it in a week or two when i get my pay cheque, i will grab it from you,

I have a question, if the brackets are already tapped in the one mounting hole then why tap the KNUCKLE with the same thread in the same hole? how would that even tighten down? what am I missing?

hey, i have been looking everywhere for evo 8 brembo on a fwd gs-t. but most results i have seen are for gsx which is awd, has anybody done evo 8 brembo on a fwd? I know there are ways to get this setup done but i have to get all knuckles changed. stock rear knuckles to gsx rear knuckles and stock front knuckles to galant knuckles in order to have bolt ons. and the knuckles alone are pricey. so to save money, any other way? :(

GST/GSX Rear Knuckles can fit EVO brembo, direct bolt on no problem.
but you need to take Rear dust shield out, it won't fit if you upgrade to EVO 300mm rotors.

GST/GSX front Knuckles won't fit,
You need to find EA5A/EA6A Galant front knuckles to replace the 2g stock front knuckles.
then you can upgrade to EVO 320mm rotors.

okay that's more clearer to understand thanks! but some people grind off the area of the brembo to fit onto gst knuckles which makes me feel hate myself. but if I can find a gallant knuckle here in Ontario. then I can do that not a problem.

thanks a lot.

but if I can find a gallant knuckle here in Ontario.
We've got brand new ones here in Ontario, but they ain't cheap. You might be able to score some used ones for less, but they're fairly rare.

yeah, if I find them, then Im lucky. because im looking for a couple of parts and there so hard to find :( right now im in need of valve cover with mint condition bolt. I don't care if the paint is f***ed up or not. im going to repaint it anyway. but a lot of ppl has it in states...which shipping is going to be helleva expensive.
