I have a question for all my fellow DSMers. I currently have a 92' Eagle Talon Tsi AWD 6/4 and dont get me wrong, i love it. However, i am starting to feel like i want a change in cars. Lately i have been looking at 2gs (particularly 95 Talons) and Early 1gs (90-91). I know most of the faults each of them have and the strong points each have, but i was wondering what would be more worth the money if i am planning on staying pretty much stock. I would like to push out the most potential out of my new car with little mods because i dont want to affect gas mileage too much. I do like the 2g body style a lot on talons too, that is what has drawn me to them. Any input would be appreciated.

I say go for the 2g, if you are starting to get bored with the 1g that you already have then I would not buy another 1g because you might feel like you are still in the same car of just another color. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on mods then I would also buy the 2g because it would be a newer car and be more likely to be in better shape and less likely to need repairs so your money would be spent on mods instead of repairs.

Both cars have potential. I think a 2G would be a better daily driver though, do some minor upgrades and be happy with a better than stock performing car. Older cars require more love and more $$$. Are you looking to get another AWD or FWD, gas mileage in a FWD is better but traction is not. Good luck on your decision.

Thanks guys. Whats a good price for a 2g in your opinion? 60,000 mi on motor 90,000 on body for $4000?
