2g dsm stock bov

Been recently doing a big swap from one 96 eclipse to a 97 eclipse for certain reasons and while I was doing this I had the oem 2g BoV have the plastic nipple to the intake manifold break off. Is there anyway to fix this or am i going to have to find another 2g BoV?

Also the other car is going to be sold so the most cost effective way to fix the bov would be appreciated .

Ehhh... the stock 2g BOV is not the best. Can you post a picture of how it broke? Then we can determine if it is fixable or not. Chances are, even fixing it, it's still going to be a problem. You might be better off finding another one.

thats what i figured but yet again its just another scrap car im selling so im not trying to put too much money into it.


and its that nipple right at the very top.

If you have the nipple, you could try super glue or JB Weld. But with how crappy they are, you could easily pick up another one for next to nothing.

Ok, so the little nipple is completely gone? I don't think you're going to be able to fix that. I know you said you're selling this car, but you have to atleast make it right before you do. Just see if someone's got another BOV laying around somewhere that they're not using anymore.

Just get a new one and be done with it. You could use this opportunity as a time to upgrade to a 1g valve while your at it though.

Yea I have seen someone use jb weld to fix a similar problem and it didn't last very long at all. You might as well just save yourself from having another headache when it breaks again.

Ive been trying to find one thats used with no luck. yet again its a car that im selling im not trying to spend that much to fix this little problem

ive already checked ebay, dsmgraveyard, craigslist still trying to find one thats laying around some where. Any places im missing to check?

and i already have a greddy type s bov that seems to be running just find for me .

There's just 2. You can PM those guys and see if they've still got 'em. I wouldn't think stock 2g BOV's are flying off the shelf
