I have a palm m505 that i used to take log reading for my 1g. Now I'm curious what exactly is needed to log on a 2g. Different cable? Software? Do i need a new palm all together? Any help thanks. - Jason.

I use a Palm m505 with PocketLogger software and cable.

You need the different cable as 2g cars have an OBD II port, you will also need software that can translate the OBD II signal. I recommend the PocketLogger setup as its easy to use and has a good wealth of information on their web page to decipher the data you get from the logs.

Thanks for the quick response. I might end up selling this one to a friend. It's hard to part with the color screen but, I really have no use for it much anymore. Any idea's on prices for cable/software? or where to get it..are the 2g cables as easily available on ebay as for the 1g's?
