Hey Tiny,

Not yet, but shouldn't take me more than a few hours. Biggest thing with the interior is just cleaning the hell out of all the panels before I re-install them.

It rained today so I didn't get a whole lot done. I was able to connect most of the engine harness. Not nearly as bad as I thought it might be.

Still have to order more parts but shes coming back together nicely. I'm going to set a first start goal of Oct 1st. I recently landed a new job so I wont have as much time as I have had to work on her.

Been following for a while, just came back to check up on it, looks good so far! Has the engine been dropped in already or still doing a few more modification on the engine before shes in? Are all the harnesses in?

Look forward to future updates! :dsm:

heck yea keep it coming man, so tell me your familar with winchester area arent you?

Yeah man, engine is in and harness is about 90% hooked up. Just waiting on parts and a weekend WITHOUT RAIN! :tease::cry:

Black rims... White is for rice

Really? I thought red and white were Mitsubishi colors? Ah well, I was leaning towards black any ways. :hmm:

Anyone run the mishi performance rad? If its a capable rad for daily driver Ill prob go with it.

First start deadline is looming. :|

Looking good!
Is that the 2core or XLine radiator?

Ended up going with the performance line. I figure if it works as well as, or better than the stock rad I should be fine. Long term performance goals are modest. I'm shooting for a reliable (as reliable as a DSM can be) daily driver that is somewhat fuel efficient, easy on the eyes and fun to drive.

First start deadline is going to be a fail.:heystupid:
I still have a couple things to finish up, including a few more parts to order. Its getting very close though.

Congrats man, you made good progress on this build in the amount of time you had and you are very determined it sounds like. I love seeing this, inspires me to run out in the garage and finally finish my '95 gst. Maybe we can cruise someday, your only like an hour and couple minutes from me. Its a beautiful drive down there, good luck brother :hellyeah:

You're too kind. I'm down for a cruise man, get busy on that GST!

Just some updates on the build.

Finishing the brake rebuild in the rear. Managed to break one of the bolts that holds the brake shoe off.
This is going to be a pain to drill/tap out. Can't wait...

Ordered the mishi fan shroud assembly, Injen intake, some glowshift gauges w/adapter, ss valve cover hardware, water pump pulley, and a dipstick.

Still need to order some rims, a drivers side window and a few other items.

Edit: New stuff :D

Made some good progress today. :hellyeah:

Installed turbo, intake, radiator, oil pressure adapter & slim fans/shroud. Also fixed some wiring issues. Just waiting on the FMIC which will be installed this week if I have time. Looking like a first start might be a possibility next weekend. :D

My FMIC took way longer to ship than I expected so first start is going to be pushed back further. Can someone lend their expertise and tell me what these are and where they are suppose to connect, etc...

Not connected to anything.

There's a similar connector I plugged into my crank position sensor. This one is the longer of the two.

Thanks,

It looks like u got some wrenching to do but atleast u can build it the way u want.it already looks better.good luck with ## built hope to see more pics.

To answer your questions on the connectors, the top pic is the alternator relay, the second is for ac, and the third looks like a fuel pressure solenoid but not a stock mits one

I love this goal! Too few DSMers strive for it :hellyeah:

Too bad my 1G will never be easy on the eyes.

Just an update for those who are following, I cranked her over for the first time today. She sounds amazing!:D

but she doesn't want to idle for me.

Also,

The throttle was delayed about a second between the time I gave it some gas before it would respond.
I'm hoping I just need to bolt that cable down and that will do the trick. I think there may be something else wrong though. (EDIT) Throttle cable was worn & replaced.

Thanks Primer,

Had a chance to work on the idle problem today. Replaced the FPR, IAC, TPS, & front (PITA) O2 sensor along with some new throttle body gaskets. Still have some things to put back together before I can crank her over again and see if the idle is fixed. The IAC & TPS were nasty so those needed to be replaced any ways.

After a few days messing around with everything, checking for leaks, checking wires, etc. I finally figured out what was wrong. At least, I am 99.9% sure. I unplugged my MAF and cranked her over and VIOLA! She purrs like a kitten between 600-700 RPM. :hellyeah::thumb:
