I am having some major issues with the new setup and have been searching for hours on the subject. First of all, car has spark, fuel and perfect compression since the motor is brand new. 190 across the board. Had a 1g head on a 1g 7 bolt block. I have the 1g CAS wired into the 2g harness correctly and everything else is plugged in. Everything is in time as well. When I go to start the car I have to hold the throttle wide open to do so and it will start up and race to over 4k. Then I have to hold it almost halfway down to keep the car running like complete crap at 2000rpm. If I let off it die's and lets a little puff of compression out the intake. The cams are installed correctly since this was the first thing I thought. CAS is wired in right and lined up right. Injectors have good resistance as well as TPS and IAC. No loose connectors but the car just won't run at all and smells like gas really really bad when it will stumble and run. Anyone have any idea's to throw out there so I can think of a few more things. Thanks.

Base timing I can't set without getting it to idle and all mechanical timing is good. Fuel pressure is 43 MAF is good. Thinking CAS might be bad but it still has spark?

...Right, no idle=no base timing, at myself on that one. Those symptoms sound really similar to our car when we had two squarish valve seats, but you have perfect compression, so it wouldn't be that. I guess if CAS/TPS/ISC are all in good working order, then the next place to look would be the ECU? That's confusing.
