Hi there!
I'm Mike and I'm from Switzerland.
I've got a little question.
I want to buy an exhaust for my 1995 GSX.
And as you know, there are no GS-Ts and GSX parts available in Europe.
That means I have to buy the exhaust in the U.S.A.
My problem is: I want to buy an exhaust wich is big enoff, because I want to buy a bigT28 some day.
Do you think a 2.5" would be good or do I have to take a 3" ?

Another problem is, here in Switzerland it is not allowed to have exhausts wich are to loud, so I need one thats not that loud. I also have to accomplish some exhaust fumes norms.

Maybe you can help me and give me some advice which exhaust is good for me.....

Thanks a lot...

Mike

same boat here.. good luck finding a quiet exhaust for a gsx, pretty much all the less aggressive exhausts are geared towards the front wheel drive dsms..which by far outnumber the all wheel drive. I would like to suggest an apexi world sport exhaust... though they are near impossible to find nowadays.

I have a 2.5" turbo back from VRS... low bass tone.. but not loud. About half as loud as a 1st gen 3" I compared it to yesterday.

And, 2.5" is plenty for a T28

IMHO, I would go with a 2.5 DP and then a 3" cat-back.

JUST becasue later on you may want to upgrade. Then you can get rid of the DP and then go to full 3".

But a 2.5 DP- 3" catback would be perfect.

I am a Thermal Research fan myself.

later on you MORE THAN LIKELY WILL upgrade from the t28 (because in my opinion it is really not that much different than a t25). and the difference in price on the 2.5 and 3" dp can't be that much different to just go 3" from turbo back (of course you will also want the 3" high flow cat). if i was to do it , i would 'bite the bullet' and just go 3" and be done with it unless you are sure that you will not go past the t28 (then above is correct). i am also a fan of the tr&d exhaust, however it is kinda deep throated as i just have the cat back on for now.

eeehhhh do you es speak english?

Yeah I do :D

BTW that's german, he will understand it because he does speak it, too.

All in all I said that he will have trouble to get a 2.5-3" exhaust allowed in switzerland because they are mostly too loud. With the small possibility in mind that he could get a almost stock souding exhaust allowed, I suggested the RS-R, but I donot know about the size of the piping of it.

plugging in the german into a translator.. it spat out this.

I will answer here once in German, am can probably one of the few that that

Does first: directly in Switzerland it give have believe gtn. ch, that I the HKS and the Apexi in the offer, but to recommend only if you get registered too much money hast...weiterhin a so soft exhaust with 2.5" that you that with you? Do that I, TÜV doubt is with you yet more severe than here in Germany and here the parts not go inquiring durch...aber warste once?

Also Kopistyling. com can try would have to give are there it also what that also somewhere in Europe..

Soft the RS-R should be, knows looks however not like it there with the diameter, would have to look once..
