My friend that I sold my old GSX to is paying me to install some parts for him while he is still in Afghanistan so I had a few questions. First off he bought a new Megan downpipe with the bottleneck and I was wondering if they bolted up to an OEM 2G O2 housing? I had the old Megan 3" downpipe before they started adding the bottleneck on it, and it was a HUGE pain in the ass to get to bolt to the OEM O2 housing... Also will the HKS Ti carbon exhaust bolt up to the Megan downpipe or is one or the other too long and will require an exhaust shop to tweak it?

There was a thread here where the member had a hks hi power which are the same and it didn't fit his megan downpipe. He had a shop do it. I can't remember his username but he was from california!
If your talking about a gsx then I'm not to sure on that.
edit: here you go! hope that helps

Curiosity, how is the punishment dp with the hks exhaust? You guys heard or have any experience.

I just installed the Megan racing DP today. It has the "bottleneck" on it. First when I took off my old downpipe I put the MR pipe up to see if it would fit on the OEM o2 housing and it fit just fine. I then added the MR o2 housing also. I don't know about the HKS exhaust, but my Apexi N1 would NOT meet up with the MR downpipe, but I can't recall if thats ### of the way I mounted it previously or not, just a heads up. There was a solid 3.25 inch gap between the flanges. I just added a 3" diameter pipe in between and everything turned out great.

Thanks guys I swung by JMFabrications today and they should be able to do it no problem.
