Ok so before anyone brings these up I did a boost leak test and changed plugs and wires and I feel it is the transmission..it seems to only happen in overdrive tho. When im driving at normal speeds it seems to miss but it isnt a miss it just feels like it and when I quarter throttle it, it has the same feel but worse sumtimes. it is hard to explain but maybe someone had the same problem..once i take off over drive it doesnt happen, it feels like it struggles back and forth in and out of overdrive(when in overdrive).. any idea how to fix or what it could be and help is appreciated

thanks
chris

If the tranny upshifts and downshifts out of overdrive than most likely its the tranny. Every time ive ever seen an auto do that the tranny was starting to go. I dont know how it would make you feel like it misses. Have you checked the tranny fluid and make sure the car is running when you check it.

If your having problems with your overdrive gear, I'd replace your end clutch, from IPT's kit. I think it cost like 75 bucks. Start there, it's hopefully just a worn end clutch, that happens a lot to these cars.
And definitely check your fluid, change it, change your filter.

Yea, i was gunna do a fluid and filter change and hope it was that...and about how it felt like a miss..i was just trying to explain a feel everyone would know cause its somewhat compatible to what im feeling...but thank you again

also does anyone know what a round aout price is for a shop to charge for end clutch replacement

chris

I dont know really what a shop might charge. maybe 200?You could call and ask them, they should be able to give you a good estimate, but It's really easy to do yourself..

This is the first auto ive had i always owned 5spd's, so I wasnt sure if it was an easy task, does it involve dropping the trans or is it removing the pan near where the valve body is, I really appreciate the help
