2g auto & manual transfer case

Are they the same - ? Will a 98 auto transfer case work in a 98 manual ? they look the same, I`ve never seen a 2g automatic tranny or case apart . . .

yea it should the output to the tcase on both is the same if i recall

Fyi . . . I did locate a transfer case from a 97 5 speed car. I opened it up, & the ratio was different than the one from my car (I forget the # of teeth on the ring & pinion). So, I just gutted the case from the 97 unit & put in the shafts & gears from the original case, & it`s been fine for over 1500 miles so far . . . Moral of the story: they may look identical, but they`re not all the same - always open it up & see to be sure that the ratio is correct or you`ll surely burn something up . . .
