I can't find a write up anywhere. Looking to put a 97 awd auto into my 1g. We had trouble getting it to fit. Was wondering if anyone could find me a link to a write up on it or pictures. I've read it can be done, its a hassle to modify bay to do it etc. Well I already have the trans and the kiggly adapter kit so its to late. Some give me advice on making this work.

Since there I couldn't find a thread with info i'll try to update this one for people wanting to do the swap.
Well got the transmission on had to modify subframe for easy in and out and modify the frame rail to fit the selector and end of the tranny.
Tools need were bfh and a grinder.
Still trying to figure out axles and starter.

It's coming back out. First step get it in make sure its easy to go in and out. Then gonna clean it up and put everything in.

You will need the starter plate that goes with the trans.

I'm trying to figure out the intermediate shaft its about a bit off from the orginal bolt holes on the block right now.

Great info thanks. I couldn't find this stuff anywhere.
