Having some issues with my manual. I've been wanting to do an auto swap for a long time. I figure if the trans has to come out I'm going auto.

That being said... there is a local 2g donar car cheap. I'm told the 2g autos are stronger than the 1g's?

What all should I take off the 2g car? Or is it not worth the hassle?

They aren't stronger, they are thought to have better converter choices..The Sinister converter might be changing that notion....
A 2g trans will not fit in a 1g without modification..The 2g bell housing is longer..

Ah, not worth the effort then.

Are there substantial differences in the early 90 and late 90 1g autos? What would make the best donor with my 6 bolt into a 93 chassis?

Thanks

The turbo 1g auto trans are from 91- early 92, to late 92 - 94..
No change in strength, just make sure you get the tcu and harness for whichever 1g trans you get ..
