Resolved 2G Adding a turbo to N/A

So i've searched a bit and can't find exactly what i'm looking for. I'm looking at buying a 97 FWD Eclipse from a guy that's N/A but has the 4g63 in it. I've had two GS-Ts in the past and loved em. I wanna know how hard it would be to convert to a 16g turbo set up and what i'd need to do. Replace pistons...ect?

Wait, a guy has a 97 N/A Eclipse, with the 4g63 in it? All US 2g DSM's came with 420a's, a Chrysler motor. Or do you mean that it is a GST with a non turbo 4g63 in it?

to my knowledge 2gs don't come with 4g63s NA, they come with the 420A as NA, and to swap a 4g63 is terribly difficult, instead most turbo their 420a, can i see pics? you sure its got the 4g63? got pics?

It's 2.0 non-turbo 4g63. Or so he says, he doesn't seem to know much. I just wanna know what it'd take to put a turbo on it. I would never try to put one on a 420a.

He didn't put pics of the engine, that would help me tons if he did...haha.

Well that means its one of 3 things, its either a 420a, he, for some reason, removed the turbocharger off the stock GST motor, or swapped in an N/A 1g 4g63 motor. I would definite get pics as my guess is its a 420a

I'm waiting on pics now. So let's just say hypothetically he put it a N/A 4g63, what would i have to do to turbo that? I'm not gonna mess with a 420a.

just get the turbo components pretty much....intake, exhaust, exh. mani, turbo, downpipe, intercooler etc...Thats all you really need to run it. But if it is the NA motor, Most would suggest to get forged internals

Bad news though, he just sent me a pic and it's 420a. :/ oh well.
