hey my clutch wont fully engage, my car can sit in gear while the motor is running but its hard to get into the gears and you can feel the syncros lining up when trying to put it in gear. this clutch has 6 miles on it and i blead the system and adjusted the pedal, and it has gm syncromesh but i cant get it to feel right. its not smooth at all. the master cylinder was rebuild about 15k miles ago, it has a ss line, the fork and ball were also replaced then.

any sugestion?

i do know that the back dowel pin didnt get put back on since the new motor didnt have it, the front one is in there. do you think thats why its hard to get into gear??? or is my disk already shot??

That dowel pin won't cause you to not go into gear easily ... check and see if your tranny is flush against your block all the way around. If it is bleed the clutch like crazy, then adjust it. I'd be willing to bed it's not properly blead and adjusted, or you flywheel step is off.

I'm assuming you mean it won't full DISengage right?

the clutch doesnt slip..it holds solid, but i can feel having to "smash" the syncros into place to get it to go into gear......

does that make sense?

Yea that means it's not full disengaging. Everytime you push the clutch pedal you are actually disengaging the clutch. You either have a bad master or slave, have air in the system, have a misadjusted pedal, have a bent clutch fork, don't have the tranny pushed back on all the way or on a slight angle, have a bad clutch or have an improper flywheel step height. I would first check the master and slave for leaks, then bleed the system again. Then readjust the clutch once again. ( obviously make sure the tranny and block are flush all the way around first ) If it's still not right you may have to pull the trans again. At this point it would be wise to replace the clutch fork, tob, and check the flywheel step. Once all that is done put it back together and rebleed and readjust. There's only so many things it could be.

P.S. I've also heard of people having a similar problem with the tranny to block bolts aren't tight. The whole trans will actually shift away from the block when the pedal is pushed causing disengagement problems. Just another thing to check.
