Hey, hopefully it his is a quick post and answer,

I have 18x8.5 with a 20mm offset on the way (I could have and wanted to get 9s but there is no need other than looks, and they probably wouldn't fit as well)

I plan on getting 245/50r18 because I like the amount of sidewall compared to 45.

The reason I got 20 offset instead of 45 was because I have carbonetics fender flares on the way and this should allow me to use a smaller spacer.

I'm on stock springs with koni orange shocks, and I dont plan on lowering.

Do you guys think this will work?

Tire wall is wayyyyyy too tall! Your speedo will be way out. You need to stick to a 35 or maybe a 40 at best,

You cannot go 18" and have comfy tires because the profile has to be lowered to account for the speedo.

So my current tires are 255/40/17
My new daily tires will be 265/35/18
My race tires will be 295/30/18

These all match the speedo with in a few % or near exact.
So 60mph will be near 60 you tires size at 60 Mph will be 66.2mph so no getting out of speeding tickets.

This is ways something someone would hopefully look at or think about when changing wheels/tires.

My best advice is to rethink your wheel package

Ok, I can get smaller tires, I haven't ordered them yet, my speedo says I'm going 60 when I'm only going 58, so maybe 245/45?
And would the speed correction be the only problem? Or would I have fitment issues?
Because I'm trying to fill the wheel well a little more without lowering the car.

Going bigger tires will fill the gap more but you got flares so you can if not already installed just install a tad lower to hide some gap.

You can play around with an online speedo calculator to see what works and whats safe limits, i was always taught 3% is the max you want to aim for and less if you can, and thats 3% + or - so its a good place to keep equal to the original wheels and correct readout. Going under is slightly safer then over because your less likely to get caught speeding by error of course.

Other then that the only other thing that might be an issue is tire to fender and knuckle clearance issues being a tall tire but i wont know for sure unless i did another calculstor that checks it,
i dont see anything else being an issue apart from that

Ok thank you so much man, I don't think so but are there any springs that only drop it like an inch? I'd like to keep a good amount of height because of the roads I have to drive on.

Not 1" no. Most are 35mm or 40mm. The only way to adjust the drop is coilovers but thats alot more cost

Yeah, that's what I figured, 35 is not to bad though if I decide to do it in the future.
Alright thanks again man have a good day.
no problems dude, if you got anymore questions or anything issues just ask and either me or someone else will try assist you further

Just realized you meant lower the flares and not the car, my bad, that's actually a great idea thanks
well you can do one or the other or both, if you can do it if not then adjust one to suit if it looks and fits well enough
