245/40R18 +35 Offset

I was curious if these tires will fit on my 2G GSX. Does anyone have experience with these size tires with this large of an offset?

1. My car is a:
b) 2g DSM

2. My wheel size is: 18X8.5 +35 Offset

3. My current or future suspension height will be lowered:
My current is around 2"... (Goldline Springs on stock shocks)
My future is 1" to 1.5"... (Tokico Illumina or Ksport Coilovers)

4. If suspension is lowered:
I'm not really sure where to adjust my camber to? I was hoping for suggestions...

5. Rear fender flange rolling:
b) I will not roll the fenders unless it is necessary

6. My driving style is:
Street only - mainly summer/spring/fall rims. I have stock 17's for my GSX for the winter.

7. I have searched for and read the FAQ's, Tech Articles, and threads on wheel and tire fitment:
Yes, but I just need someone with experience to validate my choices. I have read threads upon threads about this, but I find it very difficult to find information on +35 offset rims on a 2" drop. I am guessing they will fit, but it will be dangerously close to the outside fender.

Speedometer reading with new tires is 1% too slow. When my speedo reads 60MPH, I am actually traveling 60.6mph.

The offset will work with the suspension. However without some camber (I'd guess -1.5 or more) in the front you will rub. In the rear you will need more camber (~ -2) than you'll want to run for decent handling in addition to fender rolling just to get them to clear on compression.

I know this because I run these exact dimensions currently. I decided to try 245/40/18 from 255/35/18 to see how they might fit on stock fenders. I ended up having my fenders flared to eliminate the problems altogether so I could run even wider tires.

Good to know. Can you snap some pictures of your car, specially the fender areas? I've been dying see someone's ride with this size wheel before I go spending $2k on wheels. Although, my local tire shop recommended 235/40/18 front and 255/40/18 on a set of axxis wheels 18x8 F, 18x9 R.

If this is for your GSX I would strongly advise you not get staggered rims and tire sizes unless you like replacing your drivetrain regularly ...

But yes, I would love to see pics of your car when they were on the 245/40R18 +35 offset as well.

245 35 19s is what i'm going with, as long as you have a stiff suspension you wll be fine with some spacers at the most.. I just got my front lip so I know I wont be lowering it anymore. but do plan on buying 17s by 8.5 and usng 245 50 with track tires or drags..

These are my cruising rims & tires. They will be on the car all year with the exception of winter and if I ever go to the track. I have brand new stock GSX rims already that im going to throw 225/45R17's on.

How about some serious fender rolling? If i decided to roll my fenders F&R how would fitament look?

Since no one want to fu(kin answer me:

For anyone that wants to know the answer to this question, NO... They do not fit on a lowered suspension (1& 1/2" - 2"). I put them on for trial and error and they rub in the rear. If you roll the rear fender flanges than you will have more than enough room for suspension travel.

I was super dedicated to get these tires to work, because I got such a great deal on them that I rolled the fenders myself with a bar. It really is not that hard. I gained more suspension travel, but will still rub on severe bumps. If you can fold the fender flanges entirely than there will be no rubbing problem whatsoever.
