I recently stumbled across what I believe to be a TD06H 20g but there are a couple of things that make me feel otherwise.

First off the specs:

Part# on comp housing: 49179-54900
Turbine ex: 2.315
Turbine in: 2.615

According to the http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/turbo-system-tech/273752-ultimate-td06-vs-td06h-turbine-photo-comparison.html thread and VFAQ it is a Frank 5 TD06H 20g but has the comp housing part # of a td06 20g. A couple things that strike odd to me is that both the coolant feed and drain are both located on the same side of the CHRA, and also the holes for the actuator and nipple on the comp housing are welded shut.

If it is a tdo6 or td06h, where and what turbine housing could be used with the turbo?

On to the pictures, let me know if more are needed.

Don't pay attention to numbers on the compressor cover of a 20G- they mean nothing.

TD06H turbine; looks to be a 50-trim compressor wheel, making this turbo a copy of an older FP DSM Green.

Rebuild it before you plan on using it- that turbine seal is leaking like hell. :thumb:

I appreciate the replies guys, what can I expect as far flow numbers? Was there anything changed from the old to new version of the green? Or can I look at the flow charts of the fp green and expect the same?

Also I purchased the turbo without a turbine housing, where can I get one for it besides Tim turbos , what housings are compatible with this turbine? Yeh it does leak like a sob. Jusmx141 you can expect to see this turbo soon :)

Nevermind I searched and was able to find a thread for td06h housings! Thanks guys!

Look at the compressor map for any T04E50 compressor.

The compressor wheel is completely redesigned.

There are none. FP doesn't generate compressor maps for anything that they build- they'd rather base their airflow examples for each turbo on real-world results. I see both sides of that argument.

You're not going to find one unless you find a DSM bolt-on TD06H turbo that is wiped out and rob the housing from that, or buy a new TD05H housing and have it machined. Tims deals with Bullseye, and I'm not sure if Bullseye even makes that housing anymore (you'd need a TMM2, I believe). You may want to contact Bullseye direct and see if there are any still available.

Sounds good to me. :thumb:

So I could nab a housing off a newer green, correct? Or maybe you have one laying around?? Tim's still has the TD06H housing listed under DSM bolt on housing so I will give them a shot as well.

I picked the turbo up for 105 shipped, so even if I had a td05h housing machined I'd still have a nice turbo for cheap, any idea rough estimate how much that runs to have it machined out?

Yes, if FP is willing to sell these separate.
Or maybe you have one laying around??
If I did, don't you think you would already have had a PM? :D

Tim's also has pricing listed that was valid 5 years ago as well as turbine housings listed on their site which haven't been cast or sold since 2007 (i.e.- T3-flanged .55 a/r BEP housings).

You got a deal for sure....I would have bought it for parts if nothing else.

None- contact G-Pop Shop perhaps, and keep in mind that only standard 7cm turbine housings can be machined to accept a TD06H turbine....NOT Evo III 7cm turbine housings.
