Just wondering what you guys think as far as a comparison. I KNOW that lots of people have gone fast with a Buschur 20g (and I've been in a BR 20g equipped car as well). And I know FP makes really good turbo's also. Sooner or later I'm gonna ditch my 50 trim setup and get a 20g. I just love these turbos. I haven't really heard anything on the FP turbo but I'm sure some of you guys have either called up and spoke to them about them, know someone who has one, or has 1st hand experience.

So what info do you guys have? Would be nice to get some good detailed pics of each as well so that we can "visually" see any differences. Things that'd be nice is a fast spool but of course a nice topend. Spool time use to not bother me but it gets old having to wait now-a-days, like when I had my T-67 on my 2.0L. I know Buschur offers porting and clipping. Not sure if the turbo from FP needs or even requires it. Someone holler back and give some lowdown please. Thanks.

Haven't looked into the BR 20g for a long time but the 6sl2 wheel on FP's 20g6sl2 seems to outflow the tdo6 Mitsu turbine wheel in the 22+ psi range. I personally haven't owned either turbo but I've tuned a friends car that went from a PTE 5027e (kind like a 50 trim) the FP 20g6sl2 and the FP's wins hand down.

I'd sure like to see some track times on the FP with all the mods. But of course the FP turbo hasn't been around as long as the BR so obviously the BR turbo is gonna have more cars going really fast. And now-a-days, since most people have so many other choices of turbos to choose from, I don't think too many people will be looking at the FP 20g. Especially since so many people think the 20g is old and ancient.

Well the biggest reason isn't that people think its ancient. People think its highly overpriced. They are priced the same prices as turbos that are bigger and more efficient. Which obvious wouldn't be a smart way to spend your money.

But if your going 20g go FP. Great customer services and great products!!!!

Not to argue with that, but if I was going with either of them, it'd be because one turbo was better than the other. The Buschur turbo is definitely a proven turbo, but I wish there was a way to see if the FP turbo was an improvement over the Buschur. That's really what it all boils down to, but there's not much info out there on it to know.

Looks at what they are doing with evos....

I would go with FP hands down

I wouldn't know. I've never really cared for Evo's all that much and don't really pay that much attention to them. Also, I'm not comparing their other turbo's. I'm wanting to compare the 20g's.

Ummm, doesn't FP build turbo's and drop ship them for BR? I know for a fact BR's E316g's are dropped from FP.

well i went 12.0 @119mph on a 18gsl2 on my galant,mod list in pro.
fp20g for the win. and i did 7.8 @95mph in the 1/8.

I'd rather give my money to the nice folks over at FP then to Dave Buschur anyday... Although I'm a bit skeptical about the SL2 turbos. People have asked FP what the differences are from the regular turbo and they never answer. And as far as these "cast ported" ones with 38mm wg's I am almost positive these are made in China as they are just about identical to the Evo 3 GT. They may be rebuilt by FP like tc.com did but c'mon read the description and then read about the Evo3 GT. What other turbos do you know of that have a "cast ported housing."

Actually it says on FP's site now that the housings are made in China. I know that paragraph was not at the bottom before.

Wow, does that mean a e3GT actually has some value then? I was going to make a lamp out of the one on my car when I bought it. I still might actually unless someone really wants it.
