It's funny after all these years I can't place people with their cars except for locals. I've seen this car so many times. Only one I ever saw with centerline wheels (If I'm correct)

I didn’t take too many pictures and I wish I had a real camera but here’s some. Not all 4G powered but definitely cool. Somehow lost the pic of the sweet redone Winnebago at the track fence if that’s anyone here . It looked awesome.

Saw @92AWDHX40 a bunch of times working on his car with @jamel16 figuring out the wiring. The Talon I was talked out of because I have 7 vehicles right now. Don’t need another project. The Samurai was tight. Kiggly’s crankcase setup is interesting. I caught him and he explained it all but I’ve never gotten into the dry sump stuff so I got lost with how the check valves function and how the dry sump tank is sectioned. Just a cool setup. The EF is the family that has been working with Marco from Magnus for years doing machine work stuff. We talked to the dad for awhile. Still a B-series with a distributor on a AEM v1. It’s a 10 year build and one its first outing at the Shootout ran 9’s .

Finished out the rainy Sunday at Quality with some of the WV/PA crew. Andy and Jeff I believe and some of the people they were with. That’s where I love the Shootout. It could be terrible weather but there’s a good conversation and good people everywhere. Every person is from a whole different life path with a whole different outcome. There’s always something to learn and always a good time if you make it happen.

What did that black vr4 ran? And does anyone know what transmission that 6g74 got adapted to? R4a, r5a51, 4l60, a340e maybe bmw zf?? Not sure if Mitsubishi made any rwd transmission that can handle that much power...would like to know

How in the heck a dinosaur transmission from mid 60s with 2 or 3 gears able to take the car to 165mph+

I wonder what's been done to the ratios

@TerminalTalon yes, I absolutely agree. That is wild. All the floor pans are gone to leave room for that rear axle. Was the rear of the car sitting really high with giant slicks? That would explain how it's able to hit those MPH..

And it got a transfer case so it's 4wd.... Pure insanity

I believe he said the floor was to make room for the crazy transfer case for the most part as that’s a big unit to cram into the chassis.

I bet. +Fuel cell, +driveshafts. Might only be one driveshaft tho, for the front, that rear end might be bolted to the transfer case directly through probably some sort of a damper or maybe solid, it would be cool to see this thing on a lift

@Vlad I have no shame asking questions so I’ll try and contact him and ask him on some platform. Same with the Shootout. I’m there to ask questions, have fun and get some knowledge if I can. I still might contact and ask Kiggly the route and separation of that Surge tank/ventilation setup just to understand and that’s really what I think most of us want to progress as enthusiasts.

I agree. Ain't nothing wrong with asking questions and advancing our knowledge.

I one time about 5 years ago got in trouble at the shop for taking apart half of the engine block and some top end, on a POS Nissan Murano with their newly designed variable displacement engine,, all I was supposed to do is tell the owner of the shop why it lost compression..... I had an agenda to find out how in the hell does variable compression works ))).... Boss came in 3 hours later and couldn't even talk after seeing half of the car apart on my work bench. Engine had about 15k miles on it only... Customer was charged one hour diagnostics... I did put everything else back together of course...

Now you can go on YouTube and they will show you a hundred videos on variable compression. Back when it was new, no one knew how exactly the damn thing worked. Only assumptions
