I'm the best man in a wedding that Saturday, unfortunately. It's been 13 years since I made it out there and hung out with a great group of members. Crazy how time flies, and how tough it's been for me to get out there from this side of the country.

I think that’s a good idea, if it’s $500+ the dsmtuners logo will be on the check as well which helps let people know it’s still around.

I'm asking Erica at IRDC if we could sponsor something a little unique... like an announcement over the PA system any time a DSM breaks on track:

"This vehicle recovery (or track clean up) for Owner Name's 199X Eclipse is sponsored by the DSMtuners.com community - supporting DSMers for over 24 years. Document your DSM build on DSMtuners.com" ... or something like that.

I'd bet we could get a few more donations if we did something like that.

What if you could sponsor the prep/clean up tractor? That thing gets more time and passes on the track than any car . I remember years ago it had its own entry in a class . Picture and everything. Could that be possible???

I don't know how that could work - I'd have to get someone to put a big decal on it or something.

They can't do it. That's too bad, it would have been a great sponsorship idea.

So if we have to choose a class for this donation to go to, which one would you guys think it should go to?

I know we can't guarantee it will go to a DSMer, but it would be nice to choose a class that has the best odds of that happening. Street Eliminator maybe?

Well that stinks but i know i am doing something to bring the site to newbies. My shirt decals , and my build thread, Definitley need to do something next year im thinking of some ideas, so its not last minute. Hopefully maybe a booth with some merch shirts, hats, hoodies, decals, i dont know any ideas would be helpful.

Don't stress about it Vic. You're doing more than most. Participating here and inviting members to participate with you here in threads and PMs is by far the biggest thing you can possibly do. Participating and sharing DSM content and discussions here is what keeps this site alive and kicking. Participating elsewhere is what hurts us.

Thanks to all those who donated. I've just submitted our DSMtuners group donation to the Shootout for the Street Eliminator class. Let's hope it goes to a DSMer! Once the event passes I'll open up donations for next year's event.
