I know, I know search. I have a 92 esi that I made a tsi with everything out of my 91 tsi, that I am wanting some opinion on. (My mod list is up to date) I have $200 to spend on the car right now and can't decide to save up more and fishing up stage 1(manifold, o2 housing, dp, catback) setup or buy a lc1 wideband first then do exhaust(running partially open dp). I'm running 12-15 boost now on an evo 3.
 
im logging with tunerpro on my laptop but it doesnt show a/f ratio, getting ecmlink with my tax refund next year. With my rewired evo 8 fuel pump the stock 450cc can handle 16psi according to others on this site and the stage 1 list details.
 
i know i need it anyway but i was thinking it could hurt to have it so i can watch my a/f ratio when adjusting my boost to the perfect spot
 
Agree with 91stocker you need a wideband to have a clue, link is almost pointless without it! Accurate A/F ratio is very important, that being said of course check off all the prereq's for tuning, tune up, and make 1000% sure there are no boost leaks.

If yes, then wideband, if not, then do listed things. You'll thank yourself later.:thumb:

yea i spent over 100hrs doing that list in addition to the transplant of everything and all the maintenance. All the main parts came from my car ive had for a few years.
 
either getting a lc-1 or mtx-L wideband, May just run open dp since its not my d/d and can connect it when i need to. Here in ky most cops dont care about noise since theres diesel rolling around here with stock stacks out the bed blowing smoke at most lights.
