As the title says, I'm only getting about 200 miles per tank of gas. And thats on the highway. Even with my lead foot, I think I should be getting at least 300 or more. I just recently had the TPS and IAC sensors replaced as well as new plugs and wires. I also have a hard UICP with a Greddy BOV. Could there be too much air going in and creating a bottleneck? Any help would be great. This is costing way too much. Thanks.

That's about how much I get. Average is 200-250. It probably has to do with our cars being heavier with AWD and turbo usage.

It just doesn't sound right. Both of my last AWD talons didn't get this bad of mileage. Even with a 16G and 17 lbs of boost. Could the cat be starting to clog up? Or exhaust leaks maybe?

I got about 200ish miles to the tank when I had my tsi awd. hell, with my n/t I barely broke 300 miles to the tank. Your gas milleage doens't seem to unreasonable. But here are some things to do, make sure your filter is clean, replace the spark plugs, make sure the o2 sensor isn't going bad, and last but not least don't go flooring it everywhere(this is most likely the reason for your shitty milleage, awd plus freeway plus driving fast = bad gas milleage.).

200 miles with a lead foot sounds about right.
sitting an highway @~110kmh (70mph) I get 330ish miles. sitting @~120kmh (75mph) I got 260ish miles.
basically worked out to free trip to work per tank (65miles).
if you're worried, buy some helium shoes :)

What condition is your O2 sensor?

How many gallons do you put in? Due to my faulty sensor or whatever it is after 10 gallons it says I'm out, so I only get 10 gallons.

And, I get 200 miles as well, if I'm lucky :p

200??! thats more thatn what i am getting.. i am getting 170-180 per tank.. :(

When you say 170-180 miles per tank, are you talking about 16 gallons?

On a 16 gallon tank you should have 300 miles of range driving around on suburban secondary roads and much more if you hit the highway.
I'm getting 19 mpg with zero highway miles-21 if i baby the car.

ay, but the freeway kills gas milleage in awd dsm's. Fifth gear is to short coupled with drivetrain loss, and the extra weight and you are not going to get that good of milleage anymore, let alone with the t25 where its almost impossible not to be in boost.

I would say change out your front O2 sensor. Seems to start going bad. Before I changed mine out I was getting around 200miles in a mixed city and highway and now with the new O2 sensor I get around 270miles in a mixed condition, and that is even with me getting on it every now and then.

Weight don't mean shit once the car is accelerated. . At highway speeds, the primary loading is aerodynamic and 2G's are what .31 C/D?

im getting right about 250ish...havn't ran down the new tank yet...but i know that my thermostat is stuck closed or open not sure but car runs as if it's cold all the time so i'm using gas like crazy...it gets expensive an di need to replace that 15 dollar part sooooon

ive read b4 on the forums that the fuel gauge on 2g's can go bad. It could also be that your fuel gauge is not measuring correctly.

change out your spark plugs,
spark plug wires,
pcv valve,
new air filter,
change oil and oil filter,
properly inflate your tires,
make sure your injectors are nice and clean,
dont drive around with your windows open,
drive 5 mph under the speed limit,
try to get up to 5th gear as quickly as possible,
dont downshift as much.

im sure that if you follow all of these steps, you will get better gas mileage.

not weight as in weight of the car, weight as in mass that needs to be rotated in order to move the car in a forward motion. A gst's engine only needs to use enough gas(power) to move the crank, tranny, and two axles. A gsx need to use enough gas to move the crank, tranny, transfercase, four axles, a driveshaft, and a rear dif. Therefor more gas in needed to get a gsx or travel the same distance as a gst. The most miles I have ever gotten in my awd was 275ish/close to 300 to the tank(on the freeway for most of it) the most I have gotten out of my gst(on th freeway) was 400 miles to a tank.

I'll have to get back with you on highway mileage after I get the new 6 bolt broke in but 27+ should be cake in the GSX.
Check the profile though, it's not a stock car.
Still thr 19 mpg that I get while still romping on the car yeilds 300 miles. if you can't do that, your car is not going into closed loop.

I would contribute alot of that to the fact that you have a 2.3L. Since you are making more low end grunt you odn't have to wind it out all the time to get moving. Still he should be getting more than 200 to the tank in a 2g.

hey don't complain, 200 is more than i get......i average about 10mpg or 160 to a tank (full 16 gallons) if i'm lucky. i tried everything, plugs wires o2 sensor all that shit and nothing helped. screw it i shoulda gotten a v8.......

Are you sure you don't have any fuel leaks anywhere? Cause that is some hella shitty ass mileage.

I was doing almost the same with a stock 7 bolt and a small 16G.
My point is, you guys have some issues.....I've been driving AWD DSM cars since '92 and have never seen fuel economy a bad as some of you are reporting.
