Searched around a little for the n/t to turbo conversion info but couldnt find it. I know there is tons on the subject. Just looking for a complete parts list to do it on my 1993 Eclipse 2.0.

Basically trying to figure out what the cost and hassle would be to do the job. Im pretty mechanically minded and am confident in doing it myself but wanted to compare the cost of the conversion versus just selling mine and buying a GST or GSX.

Thanks for any links or info fellas. Sorry for the repeat post

It isnt that expensive unless you go all out. On a 420a motor that you turn turbo you would not want to run more than 8 psi on the stock motor unless you are going to upgrade the bottom end as well...

Honestly.. Id say sell what you have and get a GSX or gst.. if you want the awd go gsx you will be happier inthe long run.. The motors are built tougher and you can run alot more boost and get alot more out of them even at stock than you can on a NT 420a being built up. My 2 cents

Yea man sorry its a 4g63, from what i understand

As for now i just want to add a stock turbo. Nothing crazy, just a little stock turbo on it.

I use to have a na eclipse and thought about doing this, but i found my GSX and couldn't be happier. You can find GSX and gst's around 3 all day. The 4g63 will withstand a lot more boost then na...... All I'm trying to say is get a GSX LOL

Yea maybe ill just save up some cash and when i get about 2k or so ill sell the GS i have and find a gsx. I think if I got a GST id just want a GSX LOL.

Haha i'd love to start on a big project like that kidtsi, and if i were a single man I would be all over it. Thanks for the offer though.

Still curious of the parts list though

+1 on just buying a gst/gsx.. would be easier. But well one way or another your going to end up taking an engine apart eventualy..LOL:p

Lol yea. Taking an engine apart would be on the top of my list of things to do. Just hard to find the time.

Give me a chevy or dodge and ill put it together blind folded LOL. Just don't know much about these cars. Yet.

I appreciate the vote of confidence man. Im slowly learning. Turbos are a whole new deal to me also but im learning more and more through this website.

my girlfriend knows my dsm comes first. I laid down that law when we started talking haha. But anyways, going for a gsx is an excellent idea. you'll be happier with it.

+1 here too. :thumb: And keep on reading. It's always better to learn from someone else's mistakes and its cheaper too! ROFL n/t ----> turbo is possible. But like most have said you will be much more happy with a car built for it.:hellyeah:
