i did some searches and saw alot of people saying stuff about venting, and recirculating... i always thought you just replace the stock one and the PSSSSSHHHH sound got louder and it could hold boost better....

can any1 tell me more about this?

stock ones can't hold as much intake pressure without leaking, and some aftermarket ones make funky sounds.

also i beleive for the real high boost cars/semis they have larger diamater ones so they can realese more pressure.

i recomend greddy type s

why u selling the rx-8?

yes you are correct ,when you upgrade the BOV it can hold more boost and most aftermarket BOV's are lounder.....Venting is when you let the blown off air into the atmosphere, Recirculating is when the blow off air is recirculated or 'dumped' back into the intake manifold. Venting is lounder because there isnt any tube on the bov to muffle the sound. When you are venting the intake is not reciving the blown off air and inturn messing with MAF sensor and confsuing the ECU giving you a crappy idle (you can buy DSMtranslator to trick the computer back into thinking that you are recirculating). If you recirculate all thoes problems are solved ,better idle less of a 'ppssshh' but i would take a well running car over a cool sounding BOV anyday....
