ok heres my question i have a 20 g with bad bearings i was wondering if i took the 14b
compressor wheel cold side and swapped it with the on on my 20 g and using the center section from the 14b alsoe i would be swapping the 20g exh housing cuz my 14b exh housing is cracked between watse gate passage and the door flapper is not even sealing
is this feasible?

If you physical have both trubos then why don't you try it out. I don't see why you couldn't do it, not sure about any downsides but you can deffinatly do it.

i mean as far as the turbo workin half ways decent i do agree it would need to get balanced i am just curios because i have both turbos

Umm..I guess you could, but why would you want the fuss...Do it right the first time and it'll save you some headaches later.

You want to use the 14b CHRA with the 20G hot and cold side? Um, assuming the shaft was the same you *might* be able to... but for all intensive purposes... no.

no i would just be using the cold side 20 g compressor wheel and putting it on the
14 centersection using the 14b exh wheel, so basically a stock 14b with a 20 g cold side
compressor wheel of cousre i would use the 20 g comprsssor housing

Yes, needs to be rebalanced. For a better working 14b, you *CAN* swap the exhaust housings, they are designed for the same turbine wheel.
