I would buy those fog bezels. I was planning on making my own covers like that and painting them semi-gloss black, but the cf does look nice...

ILLiCliPSE needs to share his secret!

fog light bezels would look even better with a CF lip ;) since most FMIC installed remove the foglights that would be nice to cover up some of the piping you'd see

To the op- I asked about your hood before and you gave me a link. I love it but im not really liking how light it is. Does it come in a darker form at all?

i agree for both, i guess the c/f fog cover would be even nicer if you hadda get rid of the fogs ### of FMIC...I dont have to worry about that yet, does anyone have details on gettin it to look like the silver eclipse in the pic?

Anyone know if there are the Evo-style hoods for the DSM that actually look like the current Evo 8/9 hoods, rather than having the vent split (like in the photo below)? I know OEM hoods look great, but in terms of cooling and relieving heat they suck balls. I may consider painting an CF Evo-style hood in the future to match the rest of the car. We'll see.

It is just regular carbon fiber like all the other hoods, my pics probably look light in my hood review because of the flash in the camera. Besides, if you want it darker, you can take it to any body shop and have them spray on a darker shade of clear coat.

Carbon fiber sheet placed BEHIND the fog light hole...

Doesn't look like it. It is more like bondo'ed or fiberglassed and filled fog light bezels. Unless a CF sheet was placed on TOP of the bezels and then clear coated.

If you plan on paint matching the hood, just get the one like mine or a similar one in fiberglass and fill the sides and make them round/flat. All it is actually is fiberglass with a carbon fiber overlay.

I told Brian (Illiclipse) that you guys were interested in knowing how he did the fog light covers. Hopefully he'll post up and fill you guys in.

Thank you. But if he doesn't tell, you're in charge of beating the truth out of him ROFL

So heres some more carbon questions. I searched, no answers. I found on eBay a few gas doors, made of carbon fiber. Who has one, lets see it. I know someone does!

I found one pic. Kinda small though.

Yeah I would prob give my left nut for a set of fog light covers dont even care if they are carbon fiber. It sucks having the two big holes (FMIC) I kinda like this hood but I think it's a custom job.

Any up close pics? Im really debating on one. How was the quality? Was fitment an issue?

PM me your email and I will send you pics. I don't have pics here since I'm at work. Fitment is oem since it's the oem fuel door with hand laid carbon fiber. Awesome quality. Never faided and it had good clearcoat.
