My cars been on jacks for 2 months and still wont start. it started as a CPS code. I changed the CPS twice. I was still getting a p0335. i found a broken wire and rewired the CPS. It still won't turn over. As i turn the key to accessory, I get a relay click from under the hood. As i try to start it i get complete silence. Could a CPS cause a starter issue? I checked the ECU and it doesn't smell burned. The battery is shooting 12.35 volts. I've run the "diagnosing a no-start" thread on here. I've checked timing a few times. looked over to be sure i didn't disconnect a ground and all wires are good. alternator seems fine. I'm finally lost. Does anyone have any insight? It's a 99 GSX
 
So your starter is not engaging, correct.

No, CAS could not cause that. Cam/crank sensors affect timing only.

Was anything done before this before it started not working, did you take anything apart. or did it just stop starting one day.
 
while not recommended for daily starting, anytime i have problems starting my cars with the key, i will arc out the starter to make sure the starter is still good and able to start the car. that's how i had to start my 2G last weekend, a wire i didnt notice had wiggled loose and it didnt want to start with the key.

i am surprised though that after two months you havent taken the starter out and had it tested. one hour of my time would be worth it compared to 2 months of down time :thumb:
 
I'm getting no starter clicks. I was driving it one day to the dumps to drop off trash. i get to the dump and turn the ignition off. i dump my trash, get in, and nothing. It threw a P0335 only after approx 7 attempts to start. after sitting about 3 hours in the dump, i came back to load it on a trailer and it started fine. 2 weeks later i get to work, cut off car, never started since. 1 month prior to break i swapped to a 1g BOV. 1 week prior had an oil change to a summer weight. since it's broken, i changed the CPS twice, rewired the blue/white on cps to the ECU. I've checked timing many times and all's fine. Accessory belts are looking good. I'll check the starter as soon as i can. should i check starter or starter relay first?
