Hello,
pretty excited to join this forum. I will have more pics soon. 98 eclipse gs..just replaced head gaskets at 150,000. runs great besides the small oil leak..and feels like the clutch may be going out. Sweet looking ride with fresh lime green paint job. Overall love this car! when i hit the gas I hear the air flowing in the intake while traveling..green neon lights on it and they look sick ( pics soon )..I go 2 grand to spend....heres what Im thinking so far..

* new racing clutch, bigger intake ( at 6" wide now), high spoiler, racing seats.
or...
* KSport air suspension ( save damage from the low ride-3 inch) pretty rough ride now
or
* complete interior make-over ( outside looks amazing ) passenger air back sticks out..carpet pretty nasty..seats all staind..new dash, seats, carpet floor and new stereo.
* apreciate any opinions.

not actual car..a model. will have actual pics in 24 hours. things drives like a go cart..grinding corners with ease

So you have a 98 eclipse gs? It says on your profike you have a gsx? But in my opinion id save ## self the money and put it towards getting a turboed DSM. There alot funner and alot more power options. Im not bagging on the nts becuase weve all probably had one in the day. There cool for driven to work and saving on gas. But thats about it. And also the engineers beleive it or not did some good things to the DSMs. Lowering is ok. But the lime green paint is just to fast and the furious. Power options for a nt are pretty slim unless you have a completly built 420a to slap a turbo on to it. And by that time you can have a clean and good turbo awd.

not actual car..pics in 24 hours. DC sports headers..tune up monthly..AEM intake. green neons in and out. trunk is empty ( space for air suspension, nas, speaker system)

Ok. But like i said. To do NAS you will need to have the 420a built to handle that. With 150000 miles i wouldnt suggest puting nitrous to it. And if your going to put that kind of money into the nt then you could get a turbo fwd and maybe even a awd. And headers, intake alone are not worth the money you pay for them. They dont have that much of an increase as people may think for the 420a.

haha...stop being negative with my make model or engine size...I am happy with the motor it has for another year...Im not a pro racer and the fast and furious look is for my kids.they love it. help me paint the canvas i give you. thats how we help others...it runs and sounds perfect for me. Im concerned with the ride quality ( feeling every crevas of bumps) and the interior..exterior looks. Have the exact body kit, color and lights from fast and furious..and the flaming exaust. It has not had shock replacement in almost 10 years..
stop hatin'

Welcome and i hope you brought your flame suit.

Thats another way to put it.

A DSM is a DSM. Simple as that. What matters is under the hood and chassy. Just being realitic. Tue uprades you would want wont come hand in hand with the car you have. Theres not much else to say about it.

Well if your going to spend all the time and money to make it look like you want. Than its probably a good idea to do any Pm's needed and you already mention oil leaks, worn suspension, and clutch, so I would probably start there bro. Have fun!!

Pretty sure your a troll but if your not...

You are the kind of person that gives us serious dsmers a bad name. I'll probably get a warning for saying this but it couldn't be any more true. If you are serious you won't get much love from the community with a f&f replica.

If you want a smooth ride for your money i would probably chose eibeck adjustable coil overs. There look sweet and if you dont adjust them to make the car set to low then there not a bad ride either. But also i wouldnt worry about a racing clutch. I would probably go with a pgraded stock replacement. Check out your local parts stores to see what they have to offer as in being economic and still have a sports fill to it.

Is this a serious thread?

I say troll. I have met some stupid dsmers in my day, but not this stupid. Troll on troll, troll on.

to me if he wants to make his current car a little nicer inside and out theres nothing wrong with it its his car. Id focus alot on suspension and clutch 1st cause interior you can get lucky sometimes on here with people parting out there cars but susepension can get a little pricey and at 150k things are probably going to be rusted and need replacing so id start with those 1st get a decent clutch try STMtuned.com or extrempsi.com both very good sites extremepsi in my opinion has best customer service.

now if your looking for more power you wont get alot more out of that motor with bolt on's unless you really start investing money. If its more power you want save for a turboed DSM but if you just want to make your current DSM nicer thats where I would start good luck and welcome!
