2 basic questions of 98 GSX

i noticed when i chnaged my oil in my 98 GSX the oil filter is really tiny,wow, does anybody know how big i can go, or a part number for k&n,bosch,mobil 1 oil filter....

also what is the stock thermo stat for my 98 GSX 180 or 200?

some people use the mitsubishi filters from the 1st gens on there 2nd gens, i guess there bigger.

You can also use one from an EVO 8.

Or, just don't worry about it. Once a motor has gotten to the point that it's shedding pieces big enough to filter out, it's done anyway.

pure one filters for a 92 talon have been working like a charm for me.

K&N filter and Mobile 1 5w-30 for me, I work for Advance Auto, so the filter really doesn't cost me too much, otherwise the K&N are pricey.
