420A 2.4 Eclipse GS 1998

is it possible to swap in the 2.4 block out of the neon srt4? and if thats not possible or if its to expensive would the 2.4 crank out of the srt4 block work in my 420a block? i need a crank that will hold more then 400hp which is what my car will be running when its all said and done. also i have the strut tower rust how would i fix that there is about a quarter sized hole throug the stut and i can stick my finger all the way through it

It would probably be cheaper to just throw some forged internals in the 420a that is in your car. You can't use the head, intake, turbo and manifold anyways, they are on the opposite side of the engine compared to the eclipse.

First, can you explain your setup to be running more than 400hp outta the 420a. Curious as to what others doing, not saying it's not impossible cause I had the RS at a steady 440 at a point.

Second, the some of the SRT parts(most) if I'm not mistaken will not fit in an eclipse of any model. Like the guy above me said, forging the internals is a wonderful idea.

When I had my 06 2.4L I always wondered if I could swap some things too. But I doubt that could have been done and I wasn't willing to spend 4g$ on a turbo setup for it.

U can do the above. Or swap engines and use the srt engine with a 420 a. Or swap out the the full srt engine and trans wich i am still working on. But unless u get the parts for cheap and are able to do most of the work then it shouldnt be done.

set up is gonna be weisico pistons at 8:5:1 .20 over, eagle h beam rods, crower stage 2 turbo grind cames with all crower retainers and springs, 3g lifters, hx35 turbo, 880cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, vortec 12:1 fmu, fidanza half shafts, lsd, and have the cylinders sleeved. plannin on around 30psi or maybe more at the track hoping for 400 with this set up
