2.3l stroker questions

Good morning,

So I am a noobie when it comes to rebuilding/stroker build. Long story I purchased a 98 gst shell with tranny, full exhaust only. I gathered other parts already have them posted in the comments on my build thread. They guy I purchased the car from has a bottom end 2.3L stroker build, I asked him is the bottom end fully built he said yes. That I would just need to have the top end resurfaced and add a manifold. Can you guys think of anything else I might need and maybe elaborate on the fully built bottom end? I asked him was all the internals and everything already in and he said yes but I feel like there’s more to it then just that. Again I’ve never done this so any help is appreciated and I apologize if this lost is a little vague.

List of what I have so far some of the items are because they were missing from the car and I needed them. Not all engine related

couple parts I will be picking up on the 15th next week.
Clutch
Fuel pump
20g turbo
Injen intake
Engine harness
Oil pan
Aem gauges
Intake manifold
Fully built 2.3 stroked engine(bottom end)
4g63 top end ( needs resurfaced)
Alternator
Starter
Battery
Ac compressor.

Parts I have already:
Stock ECU
Stock TCM
Intercooler and piping
Blowoff valve
Fluidyne radiator
Greddy exhaust (turbo back)
shifter and knob (original was sold)
Factory sunroof (Original was sold)
crash bar (original was taken off probably sold)
Cars lowered not sure on what haven’t really looked focus has been on getting it running.

Unfortunately, you have it backwards. You need to elaborate to us what is done to the engine. "Fully built" means nothing. It's like saying something is nice. Nice how?

true that’s my mistake but sadly I am in the dark on that also. Which is why I’m skeptical on buying it. Originally I just wanted to find a running 4g63t to buy and drop in since I have no knowledge really about the 2.3 stroker build option. But that’s all I’ve been able to run across when looking for a motor. When I asked the guy what needed to be done and if the bottom end had all the internals and are installed he simply said yes it does it just needs the head resurfaced from the old engine and put on the bottom end and a engine harness + supporting parts. I guess I worded my question wrong when I should have asked what supporting parts would I need.

You should be skeptical. My car, when I bought it, had a "built 1000hp-capable" engine and when I tore it down it was a piece of shit. What price are they asking?

mine guy is asking $850 ( guy I bought shell from)another guy with similar build is asking $700

Yea I might just save up and buy the engine I seen from japan. Just need 1000 more and I can get that one and it’s an original 4g63t supposedly pulled and tested from a running 2g for sale from a jdm shop comes with a warranty as well.
