I have searched high and low, but I have not got a definite answer on this.
Can I daily drive my 1997 eclipse gst 2.3 stroker with stock 450cc injectors and stock ecu. I will not be going above 4000 for break in, so I want to know if this will be an issue. I understand that I will run out of fuel at higher rpm's and have issues if I tried taking this to a track, but would I be able to drive the car without messing with any sort up tuning.
The engine is a 2.3 short block with 9.0:1 compression pistons. I have evo2 cams with evo 8/9 springs and retainers. Turbo is a evo3 16g. I ultimately have 1000cc injectors and going to flash the ecu, but right now my daily driver is down for the count and it will be much easier for me to finish my gst than to fix my Jetta. I need a car to get around and it is getting hard to depend on people to get places on time. So the plan is to get this running then daily drive it till I have a weekend to do the tuning and such. I do not have the knowledge to do so, so I will have to get someone to help and all of this will take time that I do not have.
So CAN I drive my 2.3 stroker with a 16g turbo, 450cc injectors, and stock ecu?
thanks
Chris
