2 1/2 or 3in Intercooler Piping??? Which one to choose??

Well i have the 1g intake manifold, a 63mm 1g throttle body, and i going to be using the 3in GM MAF. I have a FMIC that has 3in inlets and outlets. I plan on running between 400-500whp through a FP Green. Which would be better 2 1/2 or 3in?? let me know, and if you got pics i would like to see

Might as well go with 3" or maybe 2.5" into the IC then 3" the rest of the way.

3" IC piping on a 50 trim is like running 1000cc injectors on a t25.
