2.0 to 1.8t?

soo me and some drunken friends were talking last night, I have a 99.5 Audi a4 1.8t and a 99 Eclipse GSX. My friend said joking why dont you swap motors. Realizing I dont have the money or resources but looking I was surprised no one else thought of it, dumb yeah but the 5 valves per cylinder is freaking awesome.
idk probably get flammed for it but just tossing it out there that it has been thought of

I don't know if it would really be worth it. Too be different, sure why not?

I just think that the cyl head would negligable per application, especially taking into account the displacement loss.

What r the factory numbers for the 1.8t?

the 4g63 is a wayyyyy better motor then that 1.8t. it'll handle more power. why not throw a 4g in the audi?

Plus, with larger valves and cams the 4g63t head would breathe much better than the head on the 1.8t. Sure, it has 5 valves per cylinder. But they are smaller in order to fit into a similar sized head dome. With 1mm oversized valves, the 4g63 head is almost nothing but valve.

I own both and agree completely with this. Plus the cost to mod the audi is ridiculous compared to a dsm. Thats why i left mine basically stock.

150-180hp. I believe it was the 99' where they made the change from 150 to the 180. The body style stayed basically the same though.
