1gina2g 97-99 RRE Harness

i'm not sure if i did this right. for the longest time the plug from my 2g wire harness sat unplugged. i finally decided to look at my old 2g motor and on the back of the CAS there's the sensor/plug. i unbolted it and have since plugged it up to the lone plug off my harness.

i'm just wondering if this is correct since it doesn't fit anywhere on my 6bolt it just hangs/tucked underneath my IC piping. The lone white wire off the RRE plug and play harness is connected to the blue wire from going to the plug.

I believe that is your Crank Sensor, you are suppose to leave it unplugged.

The 2Gs have a CAS and Crank Sensor.

The 1Gs have a CAS with the Crank Sensor built in it.


Those blue vampire clips are the worst way to splice a wire, hope RRE didn't send you those.

Unplug your Crank Sensor, tape the end of that white wire so it won't short out, and put some tape over your Crank Sensor plug. You don't want any of those wires to short out, they are directly connected to the ecu.

the vampire clips did not come with the harness. i bought it from the local auto parts store. they were the easiest way to connect the two wires without cutting any wires.

so i should remove the clip and splice into the blue wire w/ the white wire?

That black thing is the 2gb 97-99 Cam Angle Sensor

thanks. i know what it is. just wondering if that is the correct procedure. i guess i'll be removing the clip and hard wiring the white wire to the blue wire from my harness.

when it comes to electrical connection it is best to solder and use heat shrink.

1.Disconnect the old 2G CAS sensor.
2.Cut blue wire from connector.
3.Solder to white wire of our harness.
4.????????
5. PROFIT!!
