1gb talon window switch

i have a plastic party here, previous guy broke everything he touched, im trying to reinstall the window switch and cant figure out how the switch is meant to be attatched, it seems there should be a peg with threads in it, cant tell if it would be attatched to the card itself or the switch housing. There was a peg glued sideways to the top of the housing, cant fathom how that would have ever worked...Pics for reference of what im working with here.

Also just fyi, i know i should just replace it but i just want some kinda answer as to what exactly broke, if the door card is meant to have the peg or not basically

That’s not from a 95-99 eclipse 2g so I have no idea. Looks like a first gen 90-94 door panel
