1gb talon non turbo intake???

hello i have a 94 talon es
my rubber hose that goes off the throttle body to the canister is breaking and detarationg
its making a hiss and a slugish preformance becuse inbetween the ribbits(bends) its cracked and its a big whole...when the engine moves it opens the hole bigger and casues the profomance to suck..

what can i use to mend this problum, for a tem fix i got tape on it

Well,

You won't be able to mend old deteriorating rubber, taping it so un-metered air doesn't get in through those cracks is your best bet for now...

If it was me I would head down to the junk yard and try to find one there. If not it sounds like the perfect time to upgrade to a aftermarket short intake!

yea i know i want a aftermarket like ,i would like to make one of pvc piping ,,autozone said they dont have any for my car.
also i have a expandlble and contractable tube used for cai. its made of thin plastic (looks like a bendy straw) i was wondering if i could use that..the guy at autozone said not such a good idea,,,i guess it could melt?....were whould i look for a aftermarket one

Hmm,

It's probably best to keep PVC out of the engine bay, Unless it's absolutely necessary ;-)

The flex tubing could be an ok solution for a little while. Make sure it's not touching anything too hot.

I would go with something like this though...

That's just something from E-bay, Not sure where to find good/cheap stuff for a 1st gen non Turbo... Maybe some of the NT guys can lend some words of wisdom.
