1GA black housings

Has anyone painted their headlight housings on their 1GA? I suppose I mean the marker light covers and all that. The part that doesn't flip up. I've seen them on 2Gs. But was wondering if anyone's done it on a 1GA. I just took mine off to buff them and thought since they're off maybe I could paint them.

Anyone got any info or pics?

Mine are done you can look at the anchorage area forum for pics of it. All the lights on my car are smoked.

I blacked mine right out using VHT Nightshades. You can still see light through them when it's dark out, but by no means is it useable...

I mean the inner part of the housing. You would have to split the two pieces to have access to it.
