Just picked up a 93 AWD roller.. it was a 7 bolt car. I want to swap a 6 bolt I have into it. Anything I need to be aware of? I know physically they are the same and it will bolt in. However I'm unsure about the wiring. Can I use the 93 7 bolt ECU? How about tb sensors, CAS, etc?

I know it's probably been documented but I must not be using the right search keywords because I'm finding a lot of stuff that doesn't help.

Yeah I know to look for a 91+ motor.. don't feel like dealing with the 90 weirdness.

Thanks

my brain knows this
1990 = 6 bolt with "big" rods
1991/1992 = 6 bolt
93-99 = 7 bolt (just add in whatever obd2 crap after 95)

if anyone else has more input...

Yeah I know all that. Just wondering if I have to track down different sensors or if the 91+ stuff will work with my 93 ECU/harness.

More importantly the harness, I can get another ECU.

There is no 90 weirdness concerning the short block. And a 6bolt is the same no matter what year. The 90 did not have special "big" rods. The differences are in the sensors which you will not use anyway as you will use 91 up stuff that is compatible with your harness. If the car came with a throttle body etc. Even better. Get the point?
