Depending on where you live, removing FPS can cause difficulty with HOT start in high ambient temperature which shouldn't be too much of an issue in Washington.oldman.. i removed my fps and im on stock fuel pump, why is this bad?
Sorry didn't even see this post. Definitely use a block off plate to prevent the valve from being gunked up and stuck open which have happend in the past.On the EGR valve, if I don't have a block-off plate, can I just loop the vacuum hose from one of the EGR nipples onto the other EGR nipples to eliminate its purpose?
Or do I need to completelly block off the gases from coming in contact with the EGR valve?
By looping the vacuum hose on the EGR valve, will the engine make enough vacuum on its own to open up the EGR valve and let it function?
I'm just not sure if a block off plate is really needed.
No problem.dsmdreamin said:thanks for the info oldman, I thought thats what it would be, might have a little trouble this summer but I should be fine...well thanks again
You don't need to but you will lose the stream of air that helps keep the turbo spooled in between shifts. And since i upgraded to a GM Maf and will have the BOV before the MAF i suppose i dont need to connect the BOV to the intake.
