1g turbo rebuild kit suggestions

Looking for a rebuild kit for my stock 1g turbo. I don't want cheap crap, what have you used that has worked well? And where did you get it? Also if you sent your turbo for rebuild where would you suggest? I might not have time to do the rebuild myself.

I used one of the no name kits off of ebay. I have ruffly 15k miles on it and I dont baby the car by any means. Been 12.9 at 106 in a full weight 1g. If you dont have the time, send it over to Forced Performance those guys are always on point!

I bought mine (Mitsubishi TD05 TD06 Major Turbocharger Rebuild Kit) from tradergreg.ecrater.com for $50.00. It was a complete kit. The turbo is actually not that hard to rebuild ( look for "TD05H / TD06 Turbo Rebuild PART 1" here if you wanna try yourself). I just rebuilt my motor and turbo, I only have 20 miles on both - So I can't really say it's lasted a while. The turbo seems to work pretty well though.

I got one from G-Pop Shop as recommended by Justin, worked like a charm, top quality. Turbo is still going.

Also, if you didn't want to ship it, you could bring it into DSG in Saskatoon, that or I could maybe hook you up to get the guys at SIAST to do it. They rebuilt mine while I was taking the AMT course for no charge as it was part of learning.

That's would be great if the siast guys could do it, I have a spare turbo off my parts car I could bring in.

They'll probably do it, as long as you know them. I went there and my boss teaches casually there so I could ask. The biggest thing is time frame as I don't know what part of the year they'll be doing turbos this year. It could be a few months wait.
