I have been searching but i cant find anything that says it is possible to put a 1g gsx into a 2g thats not awd. Say maybe a 2g gs will the motor mounts line up or no.Cause im in the process of rebuilding the gsx motor and its already out so i was thinkin of putting it back into a 2g

Thanks for reply ive been on that site it doesnt really give me the answer im lookin for. But the motor mounts will line up though? And will i be able to hook up the awd or will i have to have fwd. Thanks for any replys

If you're planning on installing a 1G engine and drivetrain into a 2G FWD platform, you are going to be in for a hell of a project. To the best of my knowledge, the 1G AWD transmission mounts are different than the AWD 2G, much less the FWD versions. If you are just putting the motor from a 1G into a 2G, it should be much less complicated, but the motor mounts should line up correctly, you will just have to do some trimming as per that Vfaq article.

if I read it right you want to put a 4g63 into a 2g gs... nothing lines up and there is a whole lot of shit you would have to do.... do some research on non turbo to turbo swap forums....
its possible but it takes time and money...
