I just got my 1gTB today, But looking at it, I have a Few questions..

I read RRE install page but it didnt really answer some questions.

1: iv seen some people use that third nipple but RRE's walk thru says to block it off.
"The three straight vacuum fittings are marked the same as the 2G fittings. The fourth angled one will be unused, cap it off"
can I shave that nipple off and weld it shut?

2: whats are the differences between the 1g tps and the 2g?

3: and can someone clear this part up for me?
"The 1G TB has a switch with a single connector on the throttle stop adjuster, this will now be unused and can be removed"

what switch?

here is a picture of the TB I bought, There seems to be something broken off near the top right...

All you have to do is swap idle speed motors, and tps, and it's a bolt on replacement. However, you will have to hog out the opening on the intake manifold to accommodate the larger throttle body.

1G Throttle Body on a 2G See if this links helps some.

The 2g tps takes the place of the ics (idle closed switch) that single wire sensor. on a 2g its not needed, you can get a bolt to fit in there but also what that does is prevent the flapper from sticking in the bore.

The angled port you can cap off.

The broke part im not sure, but from pics i look at it dont seem to play any role except keep the shaft spring for the flapper shaft in place but really im not sure.

You'll be find, you can only open the throttle up by the amount your cable will allow.

Port match and put on your sensor and you'll be good to go.

Correct, the TPS is harness dependant for it's connections. You can use the 1g IAC but test to make sure the coils are still good.

The BISS should be of the front edge of the TB facing the motor as if it were installed.

I just read that walk thru and it clears up a few things but now I have more questions LOL

" I believe that my gas mileage has gone down since installing this, It's probably flowing more air for a given tps reading and the ECU freaks out and runs things rich."

Will the 1g tb ruine my already bad gas milage?

Will installing the 1g tb make my engine light turn on?

The 'idle screw thingy' on a 1g is the gold/tan plastic thing that's threaded near the throttle cable bracket. It can be seen in the bottom center of your picture. That needs to stay, even though the single spade on the end is not used (idle switch for 1g, which is integrated into your 2g TPS).

The 1g throttle body should not make your gas mileage go down. Nor should it cause a check engine light.

1. Is your TPS adjusted properly and do you have a working idle switch?
2 See above
3. Well, what's the CEL code?

Brian, you trying to say the 1g turbo tb does NOT have a BISS? Only the screw located on the back side?
