ok so when i start to drive as in when i start to take off, and it is in every gear,
my talon will feel like it is bogging before it starts boosting and once it starts boosting it pulls really good. but then i shift gears and it does it all over again, and then when i come to a stop, and push in the clutch it starts to die out

my car was doing the same thing and it was leaking boost from the downpipe because of a blown downpipe gasket, then it got worse one day and i was assuming it was a turbo seal, and then a few days ago the car started to bog down really bad and wasnt building more than 5psi and then the oil pressure started to drop and the car was down on power so i shut it off and got it towed home, now it wont restart.

im thinking itll be okay if i rebuild/replace the turbo and put the new downppe gasket in

am i right? or is it worse than that?

my car has a 16g turbo, hard intercooler piping, and an ecu so the bov can be recirculated to the atmosphere( im not 100% sure whats done to the ecu), it has a gm blowthru maf sensor and a greddy type s bov, if that helps diagnose the problem

before the turbo completely shit the bed it ran really rich and would misfire and sputter but when the turbo went and the oil psi started dropping i shut it off before it made any funny noises haha

Just wondering, is the blow off valve located before or after the MAF in the piping? You don't want to vent to the atomosphere if it is after. Anyways, any intake/boost leaks will cause your car to idle or run wacked out. The downpipe gasket won't be a boost leak but instead an exhaust leak (no biggie). Kind of sounds like either your MAFT isn't configured properly at the lower airflow levels or you've got a boost leak somewhere.

My car was doing a similar thing earlier, but doesnt sound this bad. It would do the bogging every once in a while. I replaced the spark plugs and ran Seafoam product through my intake and after that it didn't do it. Just throwin an idea out there.
