I've noticed that in 2nd gear about 2800 to 3000 rpm if i got w.o.t. It feels like it bogs. (Some times it does it more than once.) But if i let off the gas and go back into it it will pull like normal. What could cause this? :beatentodeath::talon:

brand new filter, plugs, wires, idk about my fuel filter. how often should the fuel filter be replaced? cause the car has 138xxx miles on it. and i know ive never changed it. :beatentodeath:

Check for boost leaks or air leaks after the mas before the turbo.I have seen tons of loose stock intakes or a vaccum line coming of the intake causing similar "bog" issues.

Chances are the fuel filter has never been changed. I would change it.
Alot of times a bog when you go wot is a failing fuel pump or fuel filter.
Since you say you changed the other things.
Have you looked for vacume or boost leaks?

Plugs are gapped .28 there ngk plugs. I had minor boost leaks before and i fixed them. Maybe i have another boost leak. I guess im going to try replaceing the fuel filter and seeing if that helps to cure the problem.

On Another note my mechanic told me that me having such a low thermostat. That the car could be taking power away cause the computer doesn't see the temperatures its supposed to read. Could this be true?

I had the same bogging issue. I would slam the pedal and it would bog, then I would let off at it would be fine. In my case, it was a combination of boost leaks and timing. I think the timing had more to do with it. The cams were off by 1 tooth so I re-did the timing belt (second rate garage did it before I got the car), fixed my boost leaks and no more bogging!! So, check your timing both with a light and physical cam-shaft alignment as well as a boost leak test. -Jeremy

I think my thermostat is a 160 degree but im not sure. and i have to replace my water pump soon. so im just goin to do a timing belt job then also.
