I bought my 1992 Talon TSI during the summer of 2011. The car had really bad paint fade, a bad oil pump, and a lot of other small issues. The car was purchased after a long search, I knew I wanted a 6/4 automatic DSM. After purchasing the engine was promptly removed and the build began. I have taken some pics along the way from day 1 to the day I first got it running. I apologize for the hood being off in the pics, they were taken immediately after getting the car running and I have not taken any since putting the hood back on.

Quick Rundown..

80k miles on body and oem shortblock
Rebuilt SIM head, 3g lifters, Port and Polish
272 DKS cams
Evo III 16G
Ported 2g exhaust manifold
Full 3" exhaust
Spearco Top/Bottom FMIC
Polished 1G Intake manifold
Wally 255
450/950(for e85) injectors
Polished stock fuel rail
Aeromotive AFPR
Socketed Eprom
2gb Front Brake Swap
New OEM oil/water pump and Timing Components
Deleted AC P/S EGR Etc.

The engine was pulled in a 12' x 20' storage unit ( as seen in first picture ) and the engine work was done by me in my garage.

I have everything needed to run E85, speed density, and Jackal tuning software. Just need to wait until spring to get the car running a little better and start tuning.
Update (4/2/12)
I got the car up and running this March thanks to the nice weather over spring break.

Any ideas, suggestions, and criticizms are accepted. Thanks!

Looks like a fun build! Where's all this paint fade you speak of....that 3rd pic makes the car look spotless other than the dent in the door.

It has been a really fun build. This is my first time doing anything like this. My old car was a 94 Trans Am that I put Nitrous on but didnt go any farther than that. I repainted the hatch, fenders, roof, and bumper. It is not perfect but damn good for my first time painting anything on a car.
