1G swap for my 2g

What is a 1g swap?
Do I only have to change my 2g head with a 1g head or
do I also have to change the 2g block into a 1g block?

Do I need other stuff than that?

If your putting a 1g motor in a 2g includes(1g6bolt BLOCK and HEAD) and the install kit.
