I have a pretty significant leak from the oil return, from what i read it is pretty uncommon for it to leak at the turbo, and that happens to be where it is..so is it more likely that the line is kinked or the flange is not true.

Whats the best solution to stop this mess.?
Do you have to do the return when the oil is drained as well?

thanks to anyone who can help

I have a pretty big leak there too but mine is on my oil pan though I have tried everthing to fix it.So far OEM gasket, oem gasket with permetex,2 oem gaskets with permetex, homemade thicker gasket,Basicly everything. I got my leak a little smaller but not fixed.Good luck.BTW you dont have to drain all the oil but when you pull that line whatever is in it is coming out.But not all of the oil drains if you take it off from the bottom first then just cut the top off of a milk jug and hold it under there it wont fill up all the way or anything but if you just changed the oil like I did then you can just dump it back in there when you are done.Hope this helps you

Wierd I have a leak there too I have put teflon tape and everything on mine and it didnt work but mine is on the OFH....:notgood:Oil leaks suck I'm getting sick of not parking on my blacktop driveway and parking in the grass my yard has a bunch of dead grass spots its like a dalmation.

Yeah it sure is a pain. I had a leak there, fixed it with a new oem gasket a thick one. Took of the old gasket that fell off in pieces.

Cleaned up the spot and dropped a bunch of black rtv on both sides of the gasket. I don't know how long it will last but hope it does. No real fix, and im leaning towards not lowering my car because of the crappy streets in my city.

Ive read replacing the gasket, getting 6mm crush washers and using permatex #2 non hardening on the thread of the bolts.

This question is directed at anybody. Is your return line all metal tubing or two nipples with rubber hose between them? I have the rubber hose thing and it's leaking like crazy, so I'm wondering where a good place to get a metal one (I've seen them on this site) for a good price.

Tried the OEM and it leaked..tried the 8AN and SS hose, EVEN bigger leak and major PITA. Finally cut the flex section out of the OEM and double clamped some oil resistant fuel injection hose and OEM gaskets and light smearing of black RTV around the flange face and bolt holes and (fingers crossed) no leaks in a few months.
