1G Oil Return Line

Found a mint condition 14B locally and I can get the j-pipe and oil return line included for a good price. Will the return line from the 14b bolt up to my 2G? I'm almost positive that the oil pan connection is the exact same but I just wanna make sure so I can drop my offer a bit if it's not needed. Thanks.

Yes. The oil pan flanges are the same between the 1g and 2g. The only difference is the turbo flange bolt hole center distances. The 1g oil return line is the one you want.

Alright thanks. I knew it in my mind just couldn't stop second guessing myself . One more quick question, when I get an oil feed line, will it be from the head, the ofh, or will i be able to choose? And if i can choose, which location would be better to use?

It is recommended you feed the turbo from the head as mitsubishi originally designed it.

However, many people and friends i know have been running their 14b/16g swapped 2g's from the ofh with no ill effect.

No, he was correct, I was inquiring about the feed line in my second post. Is it hard at all to hook up the feed line to the ofh? And do I need to look for a return line that specifically says that it goes to the ofh or are they the same lenght and connection either way?

Sorry, my bad. I missed your response and thought he was replying to your original question. Disregard.

Your stock turbo hooks up to the oil filter housing. All you need to do is remove the stock hard line and replace it with the braided line. As long as it says "2g oil feed line" it should work. Check ExtremePSI for a variety of oil feed lines. If you choose to use the head location, you'll need to block off the oil filter housing outlet and get a line that specifically uses the head location.
